How To Batch A Month Of Instagram Reels Content For Your Brand In One Day

We see you staring at your Instagram profile, knowing you need to post, but not really sure what to post or where to start. If you’re looking for a game-changing way to create content, do we have a tip for you: Batch Creation.

Batch Creation dedicates a day to nothing but reel creation. This means that with some planning, you can hammer out a full month’s worth of reels, and you can leave the reel procrastination behind. Ready to create a month of on-brand reels aimed at your ideal audience? Let’s get it done!

Set A Goal

Do we all have misguided, but well-intentioned, plans of posting reels daily? Yes. Is that sustainable? For most of us, not so much. Be honest, and think about how often you really need to post. For many, 2-3 reels a week is enough.

Creative Planning

This is the fun research part. We give you permission to scroll, looking for inspiration (but set a timer, so you don’t end up doom-scrolling for hours). Use this time to save the audio you want to use, and create a list of shots and their timing that you’ll need to take.

Prepare To Create Content

Block off a day on your calendar, and dedicate it to creating content for your reels. Get all of your equipment ready so you’re ready to film. Grab your camera or phone, tripod, ring light, and microphone to ensure your video is the highest quality possible. Plan to change outfits a few times (yes, you can wear the same thing in more than one reel) and get ready in a way that makes you feel your best.

3, 2, 1… Record

The time has come to start recording! Give yourself grace, and permission to have a few takes, but give yourself a limit. We promise no one will be eyeing your video as closely as you do. When creating and editing, remember to save a copy on your phone, as Instagram drafts are notoriously glitchy.

Schedule Your Reels

Now that we finally (finally!) have the ability to schedule reels, go through your analytics, and find out your best time to post. Spend some time engaging before and after you post, and make sure to go back later to interact with those that left comments on your reel.

Bonus Tips

Keep it short, keep it value-packed. Whether it’s entertaining or educational, provide something that your followers want to see.

  • Use an Instagram template to make your life easier, and to access built-in timing sequences.

  • Do not cross-post to other platforms with watermarks on!  Instagram does not want to feel like second fiddle to TikTok, and vice versa.
